The brand’s VX Protect sealant has been designed to cover the car’s paintwork with resilient, glossy and transparent protection.
The sealant will protect against corrosion to the paintwork and fading through UV solar rays, says Vauxhall.
It will also fall under the same industry-leading warranty all new Vauxhall cars come with, covering the paint up to 100,000 miles and for an unlimited period of time until that mileage is reached. VX Protect is also available with a three-year warranty on a used car or commercial vehicle.
Vauxhall is also offering a selection of extras as part of the VX Protect package including car shampoo, bird lime neutraliser, alloy wheel brush, chamois kit and glass cleaner.
These optional extras can be bolted on to the package to expand the product, says Vauxhall, and will be available from Perrys Vauxhall dealerships from this week.
The VX Protect is being offered in conjunction with Supagard and is the latest product aimed at giving Vauxhall dealerships peace of mind.
The news follows the introduction of Vauxhall’s fixed price MOT offer, which introduces a set price for a series of popular repairs and maintenance and includes labour costs.
This prevents any nasty surprises when it comes to paying for repairs at official Vauxhall Masterfit centres and means customers know what to expect even if their car fails an MOT and needs repairs.
Vauxhall is currently one of the UK’s most popular manufacturers with the likes of the Vauxhall Corsa and the Vauxhall Astra in the top five best-sellers in the UK.
